And to complement ONI-Defense's comment, this was a prototype (AFX) that was supposed to replace the Tomcat, but lost in favor for the Super Hornet. The above image (not mine of course) is a What-If. Matter of fact for Strike Fighters 2 I made a VF-2 version of this aircraft.

I see. Somehow I think they scaled-down the Tomcat and/or Viking to make/mix this.
